‘Schitt’s Creek’ Cast Take Over Andy Cohen’s ‘Watch What Happens Live’

The cast of “Schitt’s Creek” paid a visit to “Watch What Happens Live” on Thursday night, and Andy Cohen did not know what he was in for when he unleashed four of Canada’s funniest folks on his talk show.

Stars Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara, Dan Levy, and Annie Murphy appeared to discuss the final season of the beloved comedy and dropped some big revelations along the way.

For example, a caller wanted to know if there was any truth to the rumour that O’Hara and Levy once dated back in their Second City days — a question that caused Levy’s famous eyebrows to rise more than usual.

“There’s nothing sexier than laughing together and having someone who makes you laugh,” O’Hara responded. “So, everybody at Second City theatre tried to date everybody. Like, ‘He makes me laugh. I should go out with him’… So, we did maybe one or two dates.”

However, she made it clear that there was never anything serious between her and her longtime co-star. “He’s a gentleman — has always been a gentleman — and we get to have this working relationship because we didn’t go anywhere,” she explained.

Meanwhile, Cohen had plenty of questions for the cast, including asking “SCTV” alums Levy and O’Hara if they’d ever encountered any of the celebrities they impersonated on the show. O’Hara revealed she once ran into Morgan Fairchild, who was aware of O’Hara’s portrayal of the actress — and was not a fan. “She said, ‘Let me help you next time,'” revealed O’Hara.

Levy singled out meeting former “Today” show movie critic Gene Shalit, famed for his afro-like hairstyle, huge handlebar moustache and booming voice. When Levy and other members of the “SCTV” cast appeared on “Today”, quipped Levy, Shalit yelled, “Why isn’t the guy who does me sitting beside me?”

During the appearance, Cohen also had father-and-son “Schitt’s Creek” co-creators Eugene and Dan Levy play a game — titled “Dan, I Am Your Father” — to determine how in sync they are. Then, in the after-show, the cast took more questions, including one that reveals how Dan Levy came out to his dad. Watch:
