Rapper Fabulous Recalled The Time Beyonce Called Him Out For His Lyric Dissing Her And Her Sister Solange

Fabulous is looking back at a heated moment between himself and Beyonce.

The rapper stopped by “The Breakfast Club” radio show Friday morning and recalled some of his lyrics that didn’t sit well with Queen Bey.

Fabulous mentioned Beyonce and sister Solange in a tune called “For The Money” which featured Nicki Minaj.

“It was on a mixtape, and I said, ‘If you could have Beyoncé, would you take Solange?,” he recalled. But later said he hoped the line would be more “punchy and metaphoric.”

“I didn’t see the deeper side of it. And then Beyoncé showed me [by] saying something like that could personally hurt her,” he continued. “And I said, ‘You know what? I get it. And when I see Solange, I will apologize to her.’ I did see her at Soho House one day. This was years ago. So I thought, ‘Let me beeline to Solange and apologize. And she was stiff… she said, ‘What’s up?’ I say, ‘I didn’t mean any malice, and I do take responsibility for saying that and I apologize.’”

He added, “And so it really woke me up. Up until that point, I would say anything in a rap that was catchy or a little line, you know what I mean?”

Fabulous later admitted he never even thought the track would “reach Solange and Beyoncé’s ears.”
