Camila Mendes Wants The ‘Riverdale’ Cast To Go To College

Camila Mendes is at the Sundance Film Festival where she sat down with IMDb to dish on what is in store for “Riverdale”.

While at the IMDb Studio at Acura Festival Village, Mendes got to work dispelling the rumour that there would be a crossover episode between “Riverdale” and “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” since the latter is owned by Netflix. However, “Katy Keene” is happening.

“Well no I don’t think so because they’re a Netflix show,” Mendes said. “If they were on CW I think we totally would, but I think we will crossover with ‘Katy Keene’, which is coming out soon.”

As for “Riverdale”, the show has just been renewed for season 5 meaning the cast will be seniors at Riverdale High. But this has left many wondering if the show goes on, will the characters be in university?

“I’m very curious to see what’s gonna happen,” Mendes said when asked if the students will be college. “I have a feeling we’re gonna do a time jump but I’m not sure. But I think that would be the best – I mean I’m not gonna tell them what to do or anything, but…”

Mendes is at Sundance for her film “Palm Springs” which also stars Andy Samberg and Cristin Milioti.
