The 2020 Grammys was a big night for Demi Lovato.

The singer took the stage for one of the most emotional moments of the night, performing her new song “Anyone”.

It was Lovato’s first live performance since she suffered a nearly fatal overdose in July 2018.

As she began to sing Lovato was overcome by emotion and got choked up on her opening line. After taking a moment, she started over, crying as she sang and bringing the audience to tears as well.

The crowd at the Staples Center took to their feet when Lovato was finished for a long standing ovation.

On Instagram, Selena Gomez praised the “beautiful, inspirational” performance, adding, “Demi I’m so happy for you.”

Immediately after the performance, Lovato officially released the new track on streaming services.

On Twitter, fans sang Lovato’s praises for the brave comeback performance.
