Piers Morgan slammed Hugh Grant after the actor said the U.K. was “finished” following last month’s general election.

Grant was asked about the results of the election, which saw Conservative Party leader Boris Johnson return to power, in an interview with the Associated Press.

The actor labelled the whole thing “a catastrophe,” adding: “The country is finished.”

Morgan then shared a clip of the interview, calling Grant “so disgusting” and a “stuck-up arrogant twerp.”

The U.K. is set to leave the European Union on January 31 before entering a transitional period lasting until December 31.

Grant regularly voices his opinion on politics and has been a longtime critic of Johnson.

He took to the streets of London last month in support of British Liberal Democrat politician Luciana Berger.
