Filipino singer Charice, who first popped up on the American music scene when she was discovered by Oprah Winfrey, revealed in an interview with Boy Abunda on The Buzz that she is in fact a lesbian.
When asked about her sexual orientation, the 21-year-singer responded, “Opo, tomboy po ako.”; This translates to, “Yes, I am a homosexual.”;

Charice also admitted that she is currently estranged from her family and apologized to those who can’t accept her sexuality. “But to those who can accept me, thank you very much,”; she said. “We are all equal, whether you are gay or straight.”;
As mentioned, Oprah made Charice a household name which led to the singer starring on Glee as Sunshine Corazon.
