George Lucas said “I do” to his longtime love, Mellody Hobson, and from the sounds of it, it was a weekend wedding written in the stars.
The site of the nuptials was the Skywalker Ranch, a 4,000 acre property that houses a resort made for clients of Lucasfilm and Skywalker Sound.

Celebrity friends who attended the nuptials at his Skywalker Ranch in Marin County, Calif. on Saturday said, “This will be a day long remembered.”

The star-studded wedding was held on the picturesque 4,000 acre ranch that houses Lucasfilm and Skywalker Sound headquarters.
George, 69, and Mellody, 44, got engaged back in January, after dating since meeting a business conference in 2006. His new wife runs the investment management firm Ariel Investments and chairs the Dream Works Animation SKG Inc. board.
This will be the second marriage for the Star Wars filmmaker, who was married to film editor Marcia Lucas from 1969 to 1983, and it is the first for Mellody.
