Anne Murray’s not only a legendary singer, she’s also a fine golfer! But when ET Canada visited the Anne Murray 5th Annual Charity Golf Classic, we quickly found out the singer plays it coy when it comes to her skills on the course!
Telling us, “Well Tom Cochrane is a really good golfer, he is a great golfer!!” Adding jokingly, “I know my team is not going to win!”
Anne, along with celebrity friends like Tom, Alan Thicke, Dr. Roberta Bondar and our very own Rick Campanelli, hit the green yesterday in support of Colon Cancer Canada.
“What I’ve been mainly trying to do is raise people’s awareness [of Colon Cancer], and try and get people tested,” she reveals to us.
With Tom adding: “People should be aware of it because it’s insidious, it’s hard to detect, and very often when you do detect it it’s too late!”
