Whoever thought up using TV’s hottest werewolf to be the face of the latest creation from Magnum, deserves an award.

Joe Manganiello was back in Toronto this week to promote the ice cream brand’s first ever pop up store in the trendy Yorkville neighbourhood, and we were lucky enough to get some time with the tall, dark and handsome True Blood star.

We had to ask – for someone who regularly tops the best body in Hollywood lists what is he doing pairing with such a decadent partner?  “I was a big fan of Magnum ice cream bars,” Joe says adding that partnering with the brand is what led him back to Canada, and his adoring Canadian fans.

The pop up store, which as Joe tweeted above is only open for the month of July, will also feature a signature bar designed by the sexy star.

And speaking of sexy, True Blood fans will know that Joe’s appearances in the new season have not only left little to the imagination, he’s showing off a whole different side to his character.  “I think it’s just time everybody stopped pushing Alcide around,” Joe said in regards to Alcide’s transformation from sensitive lone wolf to intense pack leader. “He’s taken enough crap, and it’s time to step into his own,” he says, adding, “you got to be the alpha, you’ve got to show the pack who’s boss.”

The muscular Manganiello, who somehow looked better in his grey suit than a bar full of make-your-own ice cream, also recently strut his stuff on stage with Channing Tatum in last summer’s hit, Magic Mike.  “I think Reid [Carolin]’s writing and Chan’s talking to Reid, but there’s nothing concrete yet,” Joe says, opening up about Big Dick Richie’s possible return to the stage … and that Fire Fighter uniform in Magic Mike 2.  “But would I like to work with those guys again? Yea. I think I probably had the best time I’ve ever had in my life working on that movie,” he added.

So what’s coming up for the Pittsburgh native, who recently picked up a posh $1.8 million Hollywood Hills pad? A movie with one of his childhood icons, Arnold Schwarzenegger and a new fitness book due out in the next year called Joe Manganiello’s Evolution: The Cutting-Edge Guide to Breaking Down Mental Walls and Building the Body You’ve Always Wanted.
