Before her domestic violence arrest in Montreal earlier this week, Emma Roberts talked to Nylon’s Ashley Baker about her good-girl image and her initial reservations about her boyfriend, American Horror Story star, Evan Peters.
Before the awful incident in which she ended up in police custody, the two were spotted often at the hottest red carpet events. But the 22-year-old star revealed their romance had a rocky start.
“We first met at a dinner party, and then we worked together on a movie [Adult World], which we did not date during,”; Emma told the mag. “We didn’t get along, actually – he wouldn’t speak to me. But it turned out that we both liked each other, so months later, we started dating, which worked out for the best.”;
As the niece of Julia Roberts, the young star was pegged an All-American Sweetheart from the get go, and it seems she always knew the pressures of that image were too much to live up to. “I can’t say I’m never going to mess up,”; she said. “But if I do, I’ll definitely be very sorry.”;
Emma, who stars in the upcoming daring comedy We’re the Millers, alongside Jason Sudeikis and Jennifer Aniston, had to grow-up fast in the spotlight, but she still tries to hold onto some of her girlish ways. “After the Met Ball, I went home to change my shoes, and I ended up getting in bed with my Mom and ordering room service and falling asleep. Does that make me a child or grown-up?”; asked the actress.
