Lone Survivor follows the story of the elite unit of American Navy SEALs Team 10 on a mission to capture a high level Taliban leader. The operation leads to a deadly fight with Taliban forces after crossing paths in the Afghanistan mountain range. Adapted from the book “Lone Survivor: The Eyewitness Account of Operation Redwing and the Lost Heroes of Seal Team,”; as the title suggests the mission ends badly leaving a “lone’ SEAL survivor.
Peter Berg, of Friday Night Lights fame, directs the drama which also stars Mark Wahlberg, Ben Foster, Taylor Kitsch, Emile Hirsch and Eric Bana.
