After much parental contemplation, the world’s favourite little newborn – Prince George, will have an African-themed bedroom, Prince William tells CNN.
In a new one-hour special Prince William’s Passion: New Father, New Hope, airing Sept. 15., CNN chronicles the Duke of Cambridge’s love of Africa and his commitment to saving the world’s most endangered species. Both Prince William and Prince Harry were exposed to Africa via trips with both their father Prince Charles and their late mother Princess Diana.
Prince William tells CNN’s Max Foster that he hopes to introduce Africa and more specifically its endangered species to his young son as soon as he can: “I’ll have toy elephants and rhinos around the room. We’ll cover it in sort of, you know, lots of bushes and things like that. Make him grow up as if he’s in the bush.”;
The Royal Couple is wasting no time with decorating plans and Kate is moving full speed ahead with plans for both Prince George’s room and the Royal Couple’s new principal residence, Apartment #1a at Kensington Palace.
While the new father is adamant about continuing his family’s legacy with Africa, at the moment the only legacy the Prince wishes to pass on to his son is “…to sleep more.”;
