Soap fans lost one of daytime television’s biggest stars this year when Jeanne Cooper of The Young and the Restless passed away. Now it’s time for the show to honor Cooper on the air and we’ve got an exclusive sneak peek of the special tribute episode!
In the clip, we see Cooper’s real-life son Corbin Bernsen appear as the priest leading her character’s memorial service. “It’s time to celebrate all that we loved about the great Katherine Chancellor,”; Bernsen says.
In The Young and the Restless episode — airing September 3 on CBS — viewers are promised that one of Katherine Chancellor’s “last wishes will come true.”;
Cooper’s death was confirmed by Bernsen on May 8. She was 84 years old.
