If you were anywhere near Roy Thompson Hall last night your ears were probably witness to one of the loudest red carpet premieres at TIFF so far. Well, that’s just the sort of thing that happens when not one, not two, but all three Hemsworth brothers get out of a car.

Chris Hemsworth had the support of his brothers, Liam and Luke last night at the North American premiere of Rush. In the film Chris portrays legendary Formula 1 racer James Hunt, who’s 1976 rivalry with Austrian driver Niki Lauda, played by Daniel Bruhl, has become infamous in the history of the sport.

The actor told Sangita Patel why having his brothers by his side on his big night was bittersweet. “We are kind of spread across the world at the moment so it’s nice,” the blonde Australian says adding, “when we gather at something like this we don’t tend to see much of one another.”

But the family love-fest didn’t stop there. Chris’ parents were also in attendance, as was his on-screen love interest Olivia Wilde, who brought along her fiancé Jason Sudekis and his co-star Daniel Bruhl, who kept his girlfriend close by his side.

Chris and wife Elsa Pataky packed on the PDA at the event, sharing how the two keep each other and their newborn daughter close to their heart, telling us he has his “wife and her birthday and my daughter and her birthday” inscribed on chains he wears around his neck.

Tune into ET Canada tonight for more love-filled red carpets and be sure to check out Chris on the big screen in Rush, opening in theatres September 27!
