After taking on the new title of proud dad, Prince William announces his decision to retire from the Royal Air Force.

The palace reveals the prince will be leaving the military after over seven and a half years of service, while taking on more royal duties. During his military service, Wills performed 156 search and rescue operations, helping rescue 149 people.

In addition to working closely on the Royal Foundation, with Duchess Kate and Prince Harry, Wills is currently looking at “a number of options for public service.”; His work in conservation will continue, working to protect endangered species, as will his charity work related to children, veterans and serving members of the Armed Forces.

And his new son, Prince George, is sure to be keeping Prince William busy, along with new mom, Duchess Kate. And the palace confirms the new family will be moving into their official residence at Kensington Palace in the coming weeks.
