Not only will NCIS fans be saying goodbye to Cote de Pablo early in the season, they’ll also be introduced to a new actress who may be her potential replacement.
According to TV Guide, CBS has cast actress Emily Wickersham in the role of a new NCIS character called Bishop, described as “a focused and socially awkward new agent.”; Bishop will likely recur in several episodes and, if the character and Wickersham are a good fit, may serve to be the replacement for former Mossad agent Ziva David, who’s being written out of the show to accommodate the departure of de Pablo.
Wickersham is expected to make her debut sometime during November sweeps. With a resume including such features as I Am Number Four and the FX series The Bridge, Wickersham is best known for playing A.J. Soprano’s girlfriend Rhiannon on The Sopranos.
The new season of NCIS begins Tuesday, Sept. 24 on Global.
