This year’s  Canada’s Walk of  Fame Ceremony is sure to be one for the books! Alan Thicke will surely bring the laughs when he is inducted this Saturday at the Elgin Theatre in Toronto along with other legends like Oscar Peterson, Victor Garber and music producer extraordinaire Bob Ezrin. More than three decades after his death, national hero Terry Fox and his Marathon of Hope, will make his way on to the Walk of Fame.

There will also be plenty of up-and-coming Canadians honoured this year as well. You can call Carly Rae Jepsen an official inspiration for youth, as 29-year-old singer is set to receive the Allan Slaight Award. Free the Children and Me to We founders Marc and Craig Kielburger will be recognized for their humanitarian efforts. While soccer star and Olympian Christine Sinclair will also be getting a plaque for her contribution to sports.

Although the ceremony takes place this weekend and airs on Global on October 27, 8 p.m. ET/PT, the celebrations kicked off yesterday with three days of music from artists like Burton Cummings, Serena Ryder and Maestro Fresh Wes.
