We caught up with singer turned The X Factor judge, Demi Lovato while she was in Toronto supporting We Day. In case her new TV gig didn’t suggest it, he former child star is all grown up now, and tells us about joining the cast of Glee this season as Santana’s girlfriend.

“She’s gorgeous, so it’s not hard,”; Demi says about shooting kissing scenes with co-star Naya Rivera. “I am just really honoured I get to play one of the first young lesbian couples on primetime TV.”;

Making her return to TV is just the cherry on top of the sundae for Demi. Hit songs and her involvement with major TV shows, her career is at an all time high. Even though, the singer says she still remembers a time in her life when things weren’t so great.

“I didn’t have anyone to look up to when I was younger to help with eating disorders and self harming issues,”; Demi tells us about her battle with anorexia and bipolar disorder. Adding, “so I feel like it’s my responsibility and I am honored to do that for people.”;

On that note, the multitalented star, who brought down the ACC with her performance says that she’s happy to continue to reminder her fans that it’s “cool to be who you are,”; adding, “no matter, sexuality whatever, just embrace yourself.”;
