Mickey Guyton has just released the title track from her upcoming debut album.

“Remember Her Name” is an empowering anthem about finding strength through difficult times.

“This song means so, so much to me,” said Guyton. “I still remember the feeling of writing it, recording it, and now the excitement (and nervousness) that it is finally out into the world.”

She added, “Not only does this song represent my journey, but I hope the message reflects yours as well. This is our story.”

During a recent appearance on the “Spout Podcast”, the 38-year-old country superstar revealed that the album has been a decade in the making.

“These are songs that I’ve been writing for 10 years. Like, these aren’t like brand new songs that you’ll be hearing. These are songs that I’ve had that have been in my email inbox when they were sent from the producer for years and I’m finally getting the chance to to put them out,” she explained.

“People are finally hearing me, they’re hearing like, oh, that makes sense. She’s like, this is her, she’s been here this whole time. Just people couldn’t see me,” she said of her recent explosion in popularity. “Now, they can see me. And I’m so excited to be putting this music out.”

Remember Her Name will be released on Sept. 24.
