Just two months after giving birth in May, Jenna Dewan-Tatum head to Vancouver with her family to get ready for her new role on Witches of East End. ET Canada catches up with the stunning star on the set of the upcoming Lifetime Canada show, and she fills us in on everything from her love for her spellbinding character Freya, to how she balances motherhood and work.
The show centres around the magical women of the Bauchamp family, led by the matriarch Joanna, played by Julia Ormond. Jenna plays one of her daughters, who finds herself caught in a hot, but risky love triangle between two brothers. “Freya is the most fun character to play, she is wild and rebellious and sexy,”; Jenna tells us. And she says the dynamic between the four lead women couldn’t be better: “We get along really well, there’s a natural organic chemistry – we feel like family and we genuinely care for each other.”;
Going back to work soon after having a baby is always a challenge, but hubby Channing Tatum is more than happy to help. He’s not just People’s Sexiest Man Alive, he’s also a super Set Husband! “He is getting really good at being the set husband, that’s what I call him,”; Jenna reveals. “He’s in the trailer, he’s rocking her to sleep – every chance he gets he’s here.”;
Not quite four months after welcoming daughter Everly, Jenna is looking as gorgeous as ever, and she shares the secrets to her success. “Breastfeeding for one, I’m breastfeeding in between takes and working out,”; she says. “It balances my hormones and my emotions, so even if it’s 10 minutes in a trailer to do free-weights or lunges, it makes me feel better.”;
