Just when you thought the world of awards ceremonies couldn’t get any more saturated YouTube has thrown their hat in the ring to present the first-ever YouTube Music Awards. This one, however, may be one you’ll want to watch — if not for the serious amount of top-notch talent that will be on display than for the role that you, the loyal YouTube user, played in its results.

On Sunday, November 3rd, Eminem, Lady Gaga, and Arcade Fire and others will be taking part in a worldwide performance in a celebration of those artists and songs that the video uber-channel has turned into sensations over the past year. The event will culminate in one explosive live show in New York City, where actor Jason Schwartzmann is set to host.

Also involved is avant-garde music director/filmmaker Spike Jonze, who will serve as the event’s creative director.
