Glee Cast Talks Season 3 Finale

It’s going to be a sad week for hardcore Glee fans everywhere.  The show is wrapping up its third season with prom, Nationals and a very teary “so long” – the finale episode is appropriately titled ‘Goodbye’ – to some series regulars …or will it?

The Internet has been abuzz with speculation about what the final four episodes will hold for fans after the Glee: Graduation Album was released. There are predictions on what this final list of songs – including tunes like Queen’s “We Are the Champions”, Green Day’s “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) and Beyonce’s “I Was Here” -means for our favorite Gleeks.

Glee graduate Lea Michele, was excited on the red carpet of L.A. TV Academy’s tribute to the cast about the final episodes saying “we have prom coming! …nationals [and then] we have graduation – lots!”  Meanwhile Jane Lynch and Chris Colfer seemed a bit somber about some of the show’s storylines coming to a close.

Matthew Morrison – a.k.a. Mr. Shu – agrees, saying that hardcore fans will find the episode “very, very sad,” but remains positive that they’ll enjoy it: “For the hardcore Gleeks out there, it’s going to answer a lot of questions; a lot of storylines are going to be wrapped up.”

Lea’s onscreen and real-life love, Cory Monteith, killed any rumours that the Gleeks set to graduate won’t be returning. “A lot of them will be on the show!” he reveals. “I’m going to be on the show for Season 4; I’m really excited about that.”

But if any fans think that they might get some spoilers from the cast themselves, think again.  Jenna Ushkawitz, who plays Tina, said that keeping mum on the upcoming season is easy because “we don’t know what the future holds.”

The Glee season finale airs May 22 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Global.
