Susan Sarandon’s next project will be a family affair, with the Oscar-winning actress set to star in a new NBC comedy pilot alongside her daughter, Eva Amurri Martino.

TV Guide reports the mother-daughter duo will star in Raising Ivy, which is based on an original idea by Martino (who has appeared in such series as New Girl and Californication) and produced by Le Train Train, the production company co-owned by Parks and Recreation“s Rashida Jones and actor Will McCormack (Brothers & Sisters). Rashida, Susan and Eva will also serve as executive producers.

In Growing Ivy, Eva will play Ivy Davis, a control freak “who craves the stability she lacked in her childhood and, as a result, has thrown herself into her career at the expense of her personal life. In an attempt to restore balance and potentially find love, she invites her freewheeling, eccentric mom, Franckie (Susan Sarandon), to move in with her and work on their relationship.”;

Eva expressed her excitement over the project on Instagram: “I am excited beyond words, and so looking forward to this adventure with my AMAZING, gorgeous, rockstar Mom @susansarandon ! I created this character especially for her and she is going to CRUSSSHHH IT. Can’t wait for everyone to get a glimpse in to our real-life dynamic on GROWING IVY!”;

If all works out, Growing Ivy If could appear on NBC’s 2014 fall schedule.
