After numerous false starts and rumours it would never happen, it now appears that Entourage may finally be making its long-awaited leap from small to big screen.

According to TMZ, Entourage star Kevin Connolly was approached on the streets of NYC and asked about the status of the long-awaited feature film, following recent reports saying production was being held up by the salary demands of the cast (exec producer Mark Walhberg, in fact, recently confirmed the film would only happen “as soon as them guys stop being so greedy.”;)

Kevin Connolly, who played agent Eric “E.”; Murphy on the HBO hit, is singing a different tune: “Yeah, it’s gonna happen,”; he said when asked about the status of the Entourage movie.

“It’s a complicated thing, but I’m in…there are no contracts yet — it doesn’t really work that way — but everything is fine.

In addition, Kevin confirmed that all the cast was in place and a production start date had already been set. “Everybody’s in line, it’s gonna be good,”; he told TMZ. “January, we’re gonna do it.”;

In a recent interview, Canadian actress Emmanuelle Chriqui, who played E’s girlfriend, Sloan, on the show, admitted she had no idea where the on-again-off-again-project has at. “I wish I knew, wish I could give you some insight I have no idea,”; she said. “I am, like, fingers crossed I hope it happens, but I have moved on in my head a little bit. I feel like it’s been announced so many times, so I am as eager as anybody to get the movie going.”;

Keep those fingers crossed, Emmanuelle!
