The last time we checked in with Steve Rogers, he was enjoying some shawarma with the rest of the Avengers team after having saved the world from an alien invasion.
In the new trailer for Captain American: Winter Soldier, break time is over, and Rogers is back to doing what he does best—jumping out of airplanes without the aid of a parachute, fighting off an elevator full of hitmen, throwing his shield like a frisbee at supervillains, and either causing things to blow up, or saving people from things that have just blown up.
Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) are back for this instalment. Joining them are a few fresh faces: Anthony Mackie plays Falcon, a S.H.I.E.L.D agent who has the ability to fly and speak telepathically with birds, Sebastian Stan plays The Winter Soldier, a former friend of Rogers’ who becomes an assassin, and Robert Redford (okay, not exactly a fresh face, but still..) plays Alexander Pierce, a senior leader at S.H.I.E.L.D.
