That howling you hear is from fans of MTV’s Teen Wolf reboot as they celebrate the show’s upcoming appearance on the cover of TV Guide“s “fan favourite”; cover, in which readers vote for the show they’d most like to see on the cover.
Since the magazine began its annual fan-favourite cover contest in 2010, past winners have included Supernatural, Community and Doctor Who, and Teen Wolf star Tyler Posey tells TV Guide that this is really a victory for the show’s fans.
“It doesn’t surprise me,”; says Tyler. “Our fans are the most dedicated people I’ve ever met.”;
As fans know, Teen Wolf is far more than a rehash of the 1985 Michael J. Fox comedy on which it’s loosely based.
“It was my way to do a TV version of The Lost Boys, a movie I loved as a kid, and to get some of the fun Buffy [the Vampire Slayer] had back onto television,”; says Teen Wolf executive producer Jeff Davis. “I wanted to do a show that didn’t take itself too seriously, that had plenty of action and a comedic feel.”;
The annual “fan favourite”; issue of TV Guide hits U.S. newsstands this Thursday.
