Ellen DeGeneres is not only the queen of daytime talk and host of this year’s Oscars, she’s also well on her way to becoming a TV mogul with several series in production.
In addition to the pilot for an Ellen-produced series for The CW based on Parenthood Lauren Graham’s novel, Someday, Someday, Maybe, Ellen has just sold NBC on a new comedy pilot.
Tentatively titled One Big Happy, the gay-themed comedy (being developed jointly by Ellen and Warner Bros. TV) involves two female BFFs — one straight, one a lesbian — who decide to have a baby together. Things get complicated, however, when one of them falls in love.
