Is Michael Bublé’s Valentine’s Day playlist just not your kind of thing? Well, he’s not the only Canadian music heavy hitter in the “love song mixmaking”; game.
Tegan Quin of Calgary pop duo Tegan and Sara has shared her own collection of Valentine’s Day tunes with Rolling Stone. It’s an eight-song mix that travels in different genres, sounds and moods.
“A majority of love songs I listen to are sad,”; Quin told the publication. That said, she was still game to provide a selection of tracks.
“Valentine’s Day can be so cheesy, but still sincere and romantic,”; the hitmaker added.
Tunes making the grade include Bruce Springsteen’s “I’m On Fire”; (“It’s Bruce. Please. If a girl throws on Bruce, she has my heart.”;), Mapei’s “Don’t Wait”; (“There’s a really romantic chorus about fighting for what you want.”;) and Alicia Keys’ “Unthinkable”; (“This is just a perfect, perfect love song. It’s awesome.”;).
