The 27th annual Bridge School Benefit was just as star-studded as ever. The annual event, which is organized by Neil Young and his wife Peggy, goes to support the school and alumni of students with physical and communication needs.
The duty of this year’s performers was to engage them as much as possible, which isn’t hard when you have a lineup like Jenny Lewis, Heart, Fun., Diana Krall with her husband Elvis Costello, Jack Johnson, My Morning Jacket, Arcade Fire, Queens of the Stone Age and finally Crosby Stills Nash & Young. The lucky attendees and performers were treated to all kinds of Neil Young cameos, as he joined the Arcade Fire on a song titled “I Dreamed Of A Neil Young Song’ and a My Morning Jacket guitar solo. The evening ended with an all-star performance of “Teach Your Children Well.’ The benefit repeats this Sunday, this time with Tom Waits filling in for Jack Johnson and Arcade Fire.
