Thirty Seconds To Mars has released the video for their new single “City of Angels.”; The video hosts many celebrities talking about their favourite city, L.A. dubbed in this video as the City of Angels.
Directed by Jared Leto, the 11-minute video has celebrities reflecting on their time in L.A. The list of celebrities, porn stars, comedians, and singers is impressive one from Lindsay Lohan to Kanye West, Selena Gomez, Ashley Olson, James Franco.
Featured in the video is Lindsay Lohan who proclaims the City of Angels is where she was able to find herself, “the real me”; she says while wearing bright red lipstick and looking into the camera.
The video starts off with Kanye West acting aloof and talking L.A where he states “the city took my mother, but it also gave me my child.”; Kanye’s mother, Donda West, died of “post operative complications”; Nov 2007. His daughter North West was born in the summer.
The video is interlaced with shots of L.A and Jared singing from city rooftops.
