“Star Trek”; co-stars Zoe Saldana and Zachary Quinto have appeared in three films together (including the upcoming “Star Trek: Beyond”;), and last night they faced off against each other onstage at “Lip Sync Battle”;.
The pair pulled out all the stops, with Saldana serving up an energetic take of Twenty One Pilots’ “Stressed Out”; alongside a group of frenetic backup dancers.
Quinto opened with George Michael’s “Freedom 90,”; and, just like the original video, was joined by Cindy Crawford — the actual Cindy Crawford — stark naked in a bathtub. Colour commentator Chrissy Teigen also joined in, which caused host LL Cool J to exclaim: “Woah!”;
For round two, Saldana went with TLC’s “No Scrubs”; — and brought up a couple of big guns with TLC members T-Boz and Chili.
Quinto countered by going old-school with Missy Elliott’s “Get Ur Freak On”;, even dressing the part with huge hoop earrings, bright red lipstick and Missy-style wig. In the end, however, it was Saldana who took the win — sorry, Spock.
