First responders surrounded Terminal 3 at Los Angeles airport this morning after a gunman opened fire.
Witnesses say they heard “about a dozen gunshots”; after a shooter reportedly confronted a 29-year-old security worker at a checkpoint inside the terminal.
Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman, Brian Humphrey says emergency crews have responded to a multi-patient incident. At least three people have been shot, one of which has reportedly died. It was not immediately clear if there were any other victims. NBC has reported that the gunman has also died from his injuries.
The FAA has grounded all flights preparing to take off for LAX. Nick Jonas and James Franco were both on flights that landed at LAX, and while they were stranded on the tarmac, tweeted:
