It’s Tuesday, which means it’s new release day in the world of music. Here’s a look at which new albums are hitting store shelves on Nov. 5, 2013.
The Big One
Avril Lavigne – Avril Lavigne: The self-proclaimed “mother(foul language) princess”; has returned with her fifth studio album. The self-titled work is Avril’s first since marrying Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger and features a fair bit of Chavril collaboration. Kroeger lends a hand as both a songwriter and a producer on the album, even popping up to duet with his wife on the current single “Let Me Go”;.
The eponymous album (which also features a guest appearance from Marilyn Manson) has been warmly received by critics, which isn’t always the case for an Avril release. Entertainment Weekly declared the new effort to be a “B+”; and Billboard gave Avril Lavigne an “82”; rating.
