It’s Tuesday, which means it’s new release day in the world of music. Here’s a look at which new albums are hitting store shelves on Nov. 12, 2013.
The Big One
Lady Gaga – ARTPOP: Mother Monster is back and is aiming to have jaws dropping once more.
ARTPOP is an album of gentle folk songs recorded inside a humble cabin once again features Gaga making gargantuan tunes with a dancefloor accessible flavour. A few notable guests (T.I., Too $hort, Twista, R. Kelly) make an appearance on the 15-track effort. It should also be acknowledged that this album’s cover art is loads better than the sleeve for Born This Way.
The reviews have been fairly mixed when it comes to ARTPOP. The Guardian pegged Gaga’s latest as “decent, if flawed”; which appears to be the tone of a lot of ARTPOP reviews tumbling out the gate. (Gaga’s Little Monsters might disagree, of course.)
