‘Ghost’ To Be Revived As A TV Series

One of Hollywood’s most iconic romances is on its way to becoming a TV series with reports that Paramount is looking to revive Ghost for the small screen.

According to Deadline, Paramount TV is teaming with writers Akiva Goldsman (A Beautiful Mind) and Jeff Pinker (Fringe) to script a TV adaptation of the beloved movie about a recently deceased guy (played in the film by Patrick Swayze) who enlists the help of a loopy psychic (Whoopi Goldberg, who won her only Oscar for the role) to avenge his own murder and share one final moment with his fiancee (Demi Moore).

“We are thrilled to collaborate with Akiva and Jeff, two deeply creative and accomplished talents, on the television adaptation of this classic supernatural drama,” said Paramount TV president Amy Powell in a statement.

At this stage, it’s unknown when a potential Ghost series could hit the air, or who would be cast in the show.
