For Jennifer Lawrence, next November promises to be a bit busier than usual. Not only does the actress have Mockingjay Part 1 to promote, but she’ll also have a competing movie opening in theatres a week earlier.
On Monday, Universal announced that Dumb and Dumber To—which features Lawrence in a cameo as the younger version of a character played by Kathleen Turner —will open on Nov. 14, 2014. That’s just one month prior to the 20th anniversary of the original Dumb and Dumber, which opened Dec. 16, 1994.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Jeff Daniels promised that the sequel will be even more outrageous than the original. “We’re going to do things in Dumb and Dumber To that make the [original] toilet scene look lame–pales in comparison,”; he said. “I can’t divulge what [the new scenes are], just that they’ve topped it.”;
Daniels recently won the Emmy for best lead actor in a drama for his performance in HBO’s The Newsroom, beating out the likes of Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad), Jon Hamm (Mad Men), and Kevin Spacey (House of Cards).
