It’s been a long time since Marty McFly and Doc Brown traversed time in that souped-up DeLorean, but fans of the Back to the Future films can look forward to a reunion, to take place on an upcoming episode of The Michael J. Fox Show.

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Christopher Lloyd, who played wacky genius Dr. Emmett Brown in Back to the Future and its two sequels, will reunite with former costar Michael J. Fox in a spring 2014 episode of Fox’s new sitcom.

According to THR, Lloyd will guest star as “the eccentric principal at the high school where Annie (Betsy Brandt) teaches and will go toe-to-toe with Mike (Michael J. Fox).”; Unlike Michael J. Fox Show guest star Brooke Shields, who has signed on for several episodes, Lloyd is only set to appear in a single episode.

Michael J. Fox revealed Lloyd’s upcoming guest spot on Twitter after he was asked whether he and Lloyd still hang around: “Newsflash:”; Fox tweeted. “He’s shooting next week’s episode.”;

The Michael J. Fox Show airs Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m. EST/PST on Global.
