Stay classy, Rob Ford.
That’s the message San Diego news anchor Ron Burgundy (a.k.a. Will Ferrell) has for his “dear, dear friend”; Rob Ford, announcing on Conan that the Toronto mayor “has asked me to sing the campaign song for his re-election.”;
The song? The highly appropriate “Working for the Weekend”; by “one of [Ford’s] favourite bands from Calgary, Loverboy”; (who are actually from Vancouver, but there’s no arguing with Ron Burgundy). Not only does he put his unique stamp on the song, Ron also delivers one of his signature flute solos — even if it nearly kills him:
