As the popularity of American Horror Story continues to grow, so does curiosity about what form the show will take next season.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, series co-creator Ryan Murphy dropped some hints about his plans for season four, explaining that there will be some clues hidden in upcoming episodes of the current season, American Horror Story: Coven, probably sometime around the 11th episode.
Without giving much away, Murphy teased that next season won’t be “contemporary, ” and will be shot in either New Orleans (as is Coven) or Santa Fe, New Mexico. Although earlier rumours indicated Murphy was planning the fourth season as a spinoff of Coven, he says that definitely won’t be happening: “We were starting to break episode eight or nine and we were like, “Well, we can’t kill that person off because we need them for the spinoff.’ As soon as those words were said, I was like, “There is no spinoff.’ Because it took away from the joy of the show. The reason the show is successful is no one is safe ever.”;
