Who Is Truly The Boss?
Popular during its run (1984-92), “Who’s The Boss?” remains just as popular in perpetual reruns. Several years ago, “Community” even based a whole episode around the universal TV debate over who truly was the boss.
Was it retired ballplayer/housekeeper Tony (Tony Danza)? Or was it Angela (Judith Light), the driven ad exec? And let’s not forget about Angela’s mother, Mona (Katherine Helmond)? Now there was a strong woman.
In celebration of the life of Helmond (Mona), who passed away on Feb. 23, 2019, let’s re-examine the many sitcom sides to this argument.
