The actress is set to star in the new Netflix sci-fi thriller "Atlas", from "Rampage" director Brad Peyton.
Lopez will star as Atlas, a woman fighting for the fate of humanity in a future where an A.I. super soldier is determined to end humanity.
'Beauty And The Beast' Prequel Series Announces Cast

A prequel series spin-off from the 2017 live-action "Beauty and the Beast" is officially coming to Disney+.
Luke Evans and Josh Gad will reprise their roles as Gaston and LeFou, along with newcomer Brianna Middleton as Tilly, LeFou's stepsister.
“For anyone who’s ever wondered how a brute like Gaston and a goof like LeFou could have ever become friends and partners, or how a mystical enchantress came to cast that fateful spell on the prince-turned-beast, this series will finally provide those answers…and provoke a whole new set of questions,” said Gary Marsh, president and chief creative officer of Disney Branded Television.

Colin Farrell And Rachel Weisz Sign On For Dark Comedy 'Love Child'
"The Lobster" co-stars Colin Farrell and Rachel Weisz will reteam for a new comedy from "Happiness" director Todd Solondz. Currently being shopped to distributors at the Cannes Virtual Market, "Love Child" is a dark twist on the classic Oedipal story about a kid in Texas who schemes to get rid of his dad so he can have his mom all to himself, only to have a handsome stranger appear.
“This is my first movie with a plot and my first movie taking place in Texas,” Solondz said in a statement. “It’s fun and it’s sexy and it’s shaped by the Hollywood movies that made me want to become a filmmaker. I’ve loved Rachel and Colin’s work forever, and am so honoured to be able to excite their passion for serious and unexpected work as well.”

Now, as the couple's twins are about to graduate high school, a Hollywood actress (Portman), who's going to be playing her in a movie, visits the family in order to get a better understanding. The actress' scrutiny, however, causes the couple to unravel as the woman’s husband confronts the fact that he sacrificed his youth, and is about to become empty-nester at 36 years of age.

Patrick Schwarzenegger is the latest addition to "The Staircase", HBO Max’s limited series based on the true-crime docuseries, joining a cast that includes Colin Firth, Toni Collette, Rosemarie DeWitt, Juliette Binoche, Parker Posey, Sophie Turner and Odessa Young.
The eight-episode focuses on Michael Peterson (Firth) and the suspicious death of his wife, Kathleen (Collette).
Schwarzenegger will play Todd Peterson, Michael Peterson’s son.
Nikki Glaser To Host 'FBoy Island'
Nikki Glaser will be hosting "FBoy Island", a wild new dating show for HBO Max in which three single women on a tropical island are joined by 24 men – 12 self-proclaimed “Nice Guys” looking for love, and 12 “FBoys” who are only there to compete for cold, hard cash. The women will navigate the dating pool together with the hope of finding a lasting love connection, not knowing which are which.

Jonah Hill has signed on to star in a new Netflix comedy feature that will mark the directorial debut of "black-ish" creator Kenya Barris.
While plot details are being kept top secret, the story will reportedly touch on similar themes explored in the classic "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner", in which a white woman brings her Black boyfriend (played in the 1967 movie by Sidney Poitier) to meet her unsuspecting parents.
Rose Byrne To Star As New Zealand Prime Minister
Rose Byrne is set to star as Jacinda Ardern, the Prime Minister of New Zealand, in an upcoming drama about how she took action to ban assault rifles in the country following a deadly shooting against the Muslim community in 2019.
The film, “They Are Us”, picks up in the week following the terrorist attack on two mosques in the city of Christchurch in which 51 people were killed and another 49 were injured.

Rupert Evans Joins 'Bridgerton'

Rupert Evans ("Charmed", "The Man in the High Castle") is joining the cast of "Bridgerton". He'll portray Edmund Bridgerton, late husband of widow Violet Bridgerton (Ruth Gemmell), and will presumably be seen in the show's trademark flashbacks.
Evans is the latest addition to the show, which recently added Simone Ashley ("Sex Education"), Charithra Chandran ("Alex Rider"), Shelley Conn ("Liar"), Calam Lynch ("Benediction") and Rupert Young ("Dear Evan Hansen") to the cast for the new season. Sadly for fans, breakout star Regé-Jean Page won't be back when the Netflix hit returns.
Pop Star Rina Sawayama Joins 'John Wick 4'

"John Wick 4" is adding Japanese-British pop star and model Rina Sawayama to the action.
The singer will star in the film an as-yet-unnamed role opposite Keanu Reeves.
“I’m so glad to have Rina on board to make her feature film debut in ‘John Wick: Chapter 4.’ She’s an incredible talent who’ll bring so much to the film,” directed Chad Stahelski said in a statement.
Trevante Rhodes To Play Mike Tyson In 'Iron Mike' Series

The upcoming limited series "Iron Mike", about the controversial life of boxer Mike Tyson has found its lead.
"Moonlight" star Trevante Rhodes will play Tyson, who streamer Hulu calls, "one of the most polarizing figures in sports culture."
The series is created by "I, Tonya" screenwriter Steven Rogers, with the film's director Craig Gillespie helming the project.
Tyson is not involved with the series.

The hit musical centres on 12-year old Evan Goldman, who moves from New York City to small town Indiana. Goldman faces the challenge of finding happiness at his new school as he transitions from youth to adulthood.

Norman Reedus To Remake ‘Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!’

The original movie centred on a trio of go-go dancers who embark on a kidnapping and murdering spree in the California desert.
According to Deadline, Reedus says the redo will “reimagine this story for the modern world.”

The "Possession" director is set to adapt and helm a new limited series based on the J.G. Ballard novel Super-Cannes, about a high-tech business park near Cannes, France, where the global elite form their own closed-off society that spirals out of control.
Ballard's work has been adapted a number of times for the screen, including Steven Spielberg's "Empire of the Sun", "High-Rise" and Brandon's father David Cronenberg's acclaimed "Crash".
