Jude Law Arrives In 'Star Wars' Universe

Jude Law has signed on to the"Star Wars: Skeleton Crew" series from "Spider-Man" trilogy director John Watts. The news was announced at the Star Wars Celebration event, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Production is slated for the summer with Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni as executive producers.

Gaten Matarazzo Returning To Broadway For 'Dear Evan Hansen'

"Stranger Things" star Gaten Matarazzo made his Broadway debut at age 9 in "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert", and now he's returning to a limited summertime run of "Dear Evan Hansen" beginning July 19. He'll be playing Jared Kleinman, best friend of the titular Evan Hansen.
"Words could never express how truly honoured I am to be a part of this company," said Matarazzo in a statement. "This show has taught me so much about myself and to be able to participate in any capacity, let alone on Broadway, makes me want to melt. I am ecstatic to be back on stage and eternally grateful for the opportunity."

Vin Diesel has announced that Rita Moreno will play his grandmother in “Fast X”, the 10th instalment of the “Fast & Furious” franchise, which is set for release in 2023.
“It’s been my dream forever to work with Rita Moreno, and the fact that she’s here playing my grandmother makes my soul smile,” Diesel said of the official casting announcement.

Ricky Martin To Star In 'Mrs. American Pie'

Ricky Martin is set to star in "Mrs. American Pie" alongside Kristen Wiig, Alison Janney and Laura Dern. The latter is also acting as executive producer.
According to Deadline, Martin will take on the role of the male lead, Robert.
The Apple TV+ series, which is a 10-part period comedy piece, is based on the popular novel by Juliet McDaniel.

Kit Harington Cast In New Take On 'Frankenstein'

Kit Harington will be starring in "Mary's Monster", putting a “rock ‘n’ roll” spin on the story of author Mary Shelley creating her classic horror novel "Frankenstein".
Said to depict the 19th century “through today’s lens against a backdrop of contemporary music, spoken word, sex, drugs and Baroque ‘n’ Roll," Clara Rugaard will play Shelley, with Harington to play the Monster.
“Terrified of giving voice to her own dark, transgressive thoughts yet at the same time driven creatively by them, Mary is seduced by her own inner monster catapulting her into a dangerous, destructive psychological romance the likes of which has never been seen before," reads the synopsis.

In his latest big-screen outing, "SNL" star Pete Davidson co-stars with Naomi Scott ("Anatomy of a Scandal") in crime comedy "Wizards!".
In the film, Davidson and Franz Rogowski play hapless potheads who run a beach bar, who find themselves in big trouble when they stumble across a stash of stolen loot they really should have left alone.

Edie Falco lands a starring role in the upcoming Peacock series “Bupkis” based on Pete Davidson’s life.
The actress will play Davidson’s mom.
“I’m so excited to be playing your mother in this show, Pete,” Falco joked. “Finally, I get to play an overwhelmed mother of two living in a world of corruption. Except this time, it’s Staten Island.”
Davidson will co-write the series with his longtime friend and fellow comedian Dave Sirus, as well as executive-produce.

Season 3 of ABC’s drama “Big Sky” will look a little different with the entry of a new series regular.
Reba McEntire will play Sunny Brick, the matriarch of the Brick Family. They own a backcountry outfitter whose customers seem to mysteriously disappear.
The series is based on the books by C.J. Box about a private detective and her former partner.

FKA Twigs has joined the upcoming reboot of "The Crow", announcing the news on social media. “I am absolutely thrilled to announce that I will be appearing alongside bill skardsgård [sic] in the crow directed by Rupert Sanders,” she wrote in an Instagram post. “I feel so honoured to be amongst such a powerful team and am already having the best time working on my character lewks with the iconic @kurtandbart2.”
Based on the graphic novel, the first screen adaptation of "The Crow" was marred by tragedy when, during production in 1994, a prop gun accidentally fired, killing star Jason Lee, son of legendary martial arts star Bruce Lee.

Lionsgate and Amazon Studios are getting the "A Simple Favor" cast back together for a sequel, Deadline reports.
Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively are set to return to play the roles of Stephanie Smothers and Emily Nelson, while Paul Feig will be returning to direct.
A synopsis for the first film reads: "Stephanie is a single mother with a parenting vlog who befriends Emily, a secretive upper-class woman who has a child at the same elementary school. When Emily goes missing, Stephanie takes it upon herself to investigate."

Ed O’Neill will portray the former LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling in FX’s new series “The Sterling Affairs”.
The six-episode limited series is written by Gina Welch and based on the “ESPN 30 for 30” podcast. It follows the story of coach Doc Rivers, played by Laurence Fishburne, in his quest to bring the team to glory as its owner, Sterling, suffers a fall from grace in public and in private.
Jacki Weaver also stars in the upcoming series.

The "When Harry Met Sally" actress is set to direct and star in the new rom-com "What Happens Later", alongside David Duchovny.
Based on the play Shooting Star by Steven Dietz, the film was written by Ryan, along with Dietz and novelist Kirk Lynn. The film tells the story of ex-lovers who reunite after several decades, only to find themselves snowed in at an airport overnight.
