Reba McEntire Joins Lifetime For 2-Movie Deal

Lifetime has just announced that Reba McEntire has inked a two-picture deal with the cable net, with the first to be a holiday movie titled "Christmas in Tune". The second film is described as a "non-holiday" project yet to be announced.
"Christmas In Tune" tells the story of Belle, a marketing executive who is worried she may lose her job. She decides to reunite a singing duo for a charity Christmas concert in order, but there's a big problem: the singers are actually her estranged parents, who haven't spoken in years. Soon the at-odds couple is helping Belle get her life in order and she begins her own romantic duet with the new man in her life.
“I am thrilled to partner with Lifetime for a return to television movies!" said McEntire in a statement. "My fans and I enjoy their programming and loved watching the 'Reba' show there for so many years.”

Dakota Fanning is joining the show, playing Susan Ford, the only daughter of late U.S. president Gerald Ford and his wife Betty, played by Aaron Eckhart and Michelle Pfeiffer.
The series, which tells the stories of First Ladies throughout the years, also stars Viola Davis a Michelle Obama and Gillian Anderson as Eleanor Roosevelt.

Wu will play war correspondent Katie Buranek who becomes an ally of Pratt's James Reece in an attempt to uncover the truth about a dangerous conspiracy that threatens their lives.

Written and directed by Braff, “A Good Person” will see Pugh star alongside legendary actor, Morgan Freeman.
According to Deadline, “The film will follow Allison (Pugh), whose life falls apart following her involvement in a fatal accident. In the following years, it is the unlikely relationship she forms with her would-be father-in-law (Freeman) that helps her live a life worth living.”
