Since it was founded in 1978 by Robert Redford, the Sundance Film Festival has been the launching pad for some of Hollywood’s best and brightest in front of and behind the camera. The festival has earned its reputation as a tastemaker, premiering some of cinema’s now most-beloved films and cult classics. As the latest edition of the Sundance Film Festival kicks off on Jan. 28, time will tell which of this year’s debuts will go down in festival history next to these films.
