Who Will Win?
"The Shape of Water"
This is a tough race, for sure. "Call Me By Your Name" was a critical darling, "Dunkirk" was a big-budget blockbuster, "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri" was packed with powerhouse performances, and, in a time where the free press is being attacked on the daily, The Academy could decide to award "The Post". However, our vote is with "The Shape of Water". Guillermo del Toro’s genre-defying fantasy fairytale leads the pack with the most nominations and has been a critical darling since hitting the film festival circuit in the Fall.

Lead Actor
Who Will Win? Gary Oldman
The battle of the recognized performances at the Oscars. Timothee Chalamet continues his streak of nominations for his role, but we don't think it's enough to topple Oldman's triumph this year.

Who Will Win? Frances McDormand
It seems like its smooth sailing for Frances McDormand and her role in “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri”. If we're right, she'll make a clean sweep after already winning the Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild Award and the BAFTA.

Supporting Actor
Who Will Win? Sam Rockwell
With his biggest hurdle (facing off with Frances McDormand in "Three Billboards") behind him, Rockwell's got nothing to do but soak up the love this awards season. If you haven't seen the film, check it out, and you'll understand why he took home the Golden Globe, SAG and BAFTA over the odds favourite: Willem Dafoe.

Who will win? Allison Janney
The odds are in "I, Tonya" star Janney's favour in this race, as she already won the Globe, SAG and BAFTA. But will she take home the Oscar or will "Lady Bird"'s Laurie Metcalf upset? We're holding out hope for our favourite dysfunctional mother.

Who will win? “The Shape of Water” filmmaker Guillermo Del Toro is the favoured director in this category.
But even if "Dunkirk"'s Christopher Nolan upsets, Del Toro's film has another 12 categories to clean up, with a whopping 13 Oscar nominations in total.

Who will win? "Coco" is favoured to take this category.
Although Alec Baldwin's “The Boss Baby” or everyone's favourite bull with a big heart "Ferdinand" could go for the gold.

Who will win?
Martin McDonagh, "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri"
We're positive Guillermo del Toro will take Best Director and Best Picture, so let's hope he lets McDonagh have this category.

Adapted Screenplay
Sony Pictures Classics
Who will win? James Ivory, "Call Me By Your Name"
Based on Andrew Aciman’s novel, Ivory’s adapted screenplay for “Call Me By Your Name” is the critics’ choice in this category. Oddsmakers also have Ivory at 1/10 odds of winning, with an advantage since the Best Picture contenders are in the Original Screenplay category.
