Y&R’s Most Memorable Weddings

There have been a lot of weddings in Genoa City over “Y&R”‘s 45 years on the air — a lot of weddings. Heck, that’s true even if you only count the times that Victor and Nikki Newman have gotten married (a combined 26 times, four of those to each other). With all those nuptials, here are a few that stand out in a ranking of the show’s most memorable.

Victor And Nikki: Take 1

"Y&R" super-couple Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) were married in 1984. Sadly, the marriage didn't last, and they wound up divorcing. It wouldn't be the couple's first wedding — or first divorce!

Tricia (Sabryn Genet) was miffed when she learned ex-husband Ryan (Scott Reeves) was planning to marry Victoria (Amelia Heinle) — so much so that she showed up at the wedding wearing a gown identical to that worn by the bride and demanded that Ryan marry HER. When he balked, Tricia pulled out a gun and shot Victoria — with Ryan jumping in front of the bullet and saving her life. Ryan later died in Victoria's arms.
Jeffrey And Gloria

Jeffrey (Ted Shackelford) and Gloria (Judith Chapman) eloped in Vegas, with none other than Little Richard on hand to serenade the couple — a-wop-bop-a-loo-bop-a-wop-bam-boom!
Victoria And Billy

The fairytale wedding of Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Billy (Billy Miller) took an unfortunate turn when the bride was arrested right after the ceremony — at the behest of her own father, Victor.
Victor And Nikki: Take 2

Following their respective remarriages, which both ended in divorce, Nikki and Victor hooked up again, getting married for a second time. But...

... when it was discovered that Victor's divorce wasn't legal, they had a third wedding (even though at this point they were only married twice). They would later split up — again.
Jack And Nikki

The wedding of Jack (Peter Bergman) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) was spectacularly opulent but ill-conceived, given that she left Jack the day after the wedding to go search for Victor, who had gone missing. Still, they managed to remain married for four years, which is a lifetime in soap opera years.

In between his various marriages to Nikki, Victor (Eric Braeden) got hitched to Sabrina (Raya Meddine), his daughter's best friend, thus squelching his chances at winning that year's Genoa City "Father of the Year" award.

Amber (Adrienne Frantz) and Daniel (Michael Graziadei) were married by none other than Katherine (Jeanne Cooper) who officiated the couple's nuptials as only she could.
Drucilla And Neil

Drucilla (Victoria Rowell) and Neil (Kristoff St. John) were married in a traditional ceremony that took place in Japan, with "Star Trek" icon George Takei portraying the clergyman who performed the ceremony. Oh my!

Kevin (Greg Rikaart) and Jana (Emily O'Brien) decided to forgo a traditional wedding and instead got hitched at an ashram in Malibu.

These two crazy kids just can't stay apart, which Victor and Nikki proved when they got married for the fourth time on a very auspicious occasion: the 40th anniversary of "Y&R" back in 2013. For those keeping score, this marks Nikki's 12th "Y&R" wedding overall — and Victor's 14th!
