In an ongoing bit that has spanned years, Paul Rudd manages to prank Conan by playing a clip from the 1980s box-office flop “Mac & Me” instead of his current project. And while many in the audience remain clueless, Conan’s longtime fans will appreciate the inside joke.

Taking inspiration from Animal Planet’s “Puppy Bowl”, fan-favourites Puppy Conan and Puppy Andy returned year after year to take over a mini-replica of the “Conan” set. The aww-worthy skit delivered raves and guaranteed Conan viral video success.

In later years, Conan extended the concept to include puppy versions of Nicki Minaj, Tom Brady, and Chris Christie.
Saying Goodbye To ‘The Tonight Show’

Conan’s controversial seven-month stint on NBC's "Tonight Show" ended with a heartfelt goodbye that won him even more fans, thanks to his humble ways. “This is the best job in the world. I absolutely love doing it, and I have the best staff and crew in the history of the medium,” he told the crowd. “I do not regret one second of everything that we’ve done here.”

“I have something to say to our fans,” he added while holding back tears. “You made a sad situation joyous and inspirational. So to all the people watching I can never thank you enough for your kindness to me.”
Conan Gets Graceful In Dance Class

While we’re all familiar with Conan’s trademark string dance, the Late Night host was looking to perfect his moves with some lessons from the ballet and hip-hop pros. In 1997, his efforts saw him don some spandex and oversized jerseys for the comedy bit.
On-Air Concussion

After challenging avid runner Teri Hatcher to a race across the studio, Conan’s test backfired when he slipped and hit his head on the slippery show floor. “As many of you may know, on this past Friday’s show I was doing a stunt and I hit my head and suffered a slight concussion. And I promise, if you’re a good audience, I’ll do it again tonight,” he joked about the funny and frightening incident the following week.
Grammar Lessons With Jennifer Garner

In 2010, during her appearance on the show, Jennifer Garner drew a barrage of hate from Team Coco when she corrected the Late Night comedian’s grammar. “'Snuck' isn’t a word, Conan. And you went to Harvard and you should know that,” she told him.

The dispute was eventually settled when Conan located the word on-air, in the dictionary.
Getting Punched By A Monkey

Animals have a mind of their own, and Conan O’Brien learned this the hard way when he invited zoologist Jared and his furry chimpanzee Bobby to appear on the show.

Despite regularly entertaining animals on his show, O’Brien simply couldn’t have predicted what was coming his way. “You can help me sort through the lawsuits after this show,” O’Brien joked.
Conan’s Lips Do Double Duty

Sarah Silverman’s expert trickery delivered the laughs when she shared a new prank on the show in 2012. After taking a photo of Conan’s pursed lips with her iPhone, the actress zoomed in on the photo and lowered it down to her crotch. The stunt left the audience, and Conan, gasping for air! “I think it’s good to get used to the lady parts and not make them shame-filled things,” Silverman explained.
