Writer-director Nora Ephron crafted some of the best, well-rounded female-driven stories on film, including “When Harry Met Sally”, “You’ve Got Mail”, “Silkwood” and “Julie & Julia”. After a career that included three Oscar nominations for her screenplays, Ephron died from pneumonia on June 26, 2012, a complication resulting from leukemia, of which she was diagnosed in 2006.
The 2009 Meryl Streep-Amy Adams comedy-biopic “Julie & Julia” is her final film.

Tom Hanks - Sam Baldwin

As lonely widower Sam, Tom Hanks was still mostly known as a rom-com actor. Released just six months before his Oscar-winning turn in “Philadelphia” and a year before “Forrest Gump”, the romance was the second film the actor appeared in with Meg Ryan.
These days, we’re more likely to see Hanks in a drama. He’s currently working on the WWII-set “Greyhound” and will put on a cardigan to play Mr. Rogers in the biopic “You Are My Friend”.

Meg Ryan became America’s lovable rom-com sweetheart after her breakout in “When Harry Met Sally”. The actress was a mainstay in the genre for years, re-teaming with Hanks again in 1998’s “You’ve Got Mail”.
But an attempt to break out of the romantic comedy mould and into grittier fare like “In The Cut” and “Proof Of Life” (best remembered for her off-screen romance with Russell Crowe) Ryan’s star power dimmed as she took a step back from major roles. After a few TV gigs here and there over the past 9 years, Ryan is currently slated to star in a new TV comedy “Picture Perfect” in 2018.

Ross Malinger – Jonah Baldwin
CBS
Ross Malinger beat out Jason Schwartzman for the role as the young meddling matchmaker in “Sleepless In Seattle”. The child actor would continue to take on roles in such shows as “Party Of Five”, “Touched By An Angel” and “Without A Trace” before leaving acting entirely.
Now 33, Malinger works in the automotive industry, most recently as a manager at a classic car dealership.

Bill Pullman – Walter

As Annie’s allergy-suffering fiancé Walter, Bill Pullman had a string of supporting roles on his resume, including parts in “A League Of Their Own”, “Malice”, “Newsies” and “The Accidental Tourist”. After becoming the U.S. president in “Independence Day”, the actor proved to be a jack of all trades, picking up roles in everything from David Lynch’s “Lost Highway”, the English remake of “The Grudge” and recently in “Battle Of The Sexes” and on Showcase’s “The Sinner”.
Pullman also put his personal passion on display in the 2012 documentary “The Fruit Hunters” about people who go to adventurous lengths to find exotic fruits.

Gaby Hoffmann – Jessica

Two years after Gaby Hoffmann made her debut in “Field Of Dreams”, the child actress landed the role of Jonah’s friend Jessica in “Sleepless In Seattle”. Appearing in 1990s movies like “Now And Then”, “The Man Without A Face” and “Volcano”, Hoffmann is a mainstay in the indie world.
After three seasons on “Girls”, Hoffmann currently stars as Ali Pfefferman on “Transparent”.

Victor Garber – Greg

London, Ont., native Victor Garber played Greg, Sam’s brother-in-law. With various supporting parts in movies and TV series, Garber got his biggest break in 2001 when he was cast as Jack Bristow on “Alias”. With over 135 roles to his name (including a part in James Cameron's "Titanic"), Garber’s more recent roles include Canadian ambassador Ken Taylor in Ben Affleck’s “Argo” and Dr. Martin Stein in the DC Comics TV universe.

Rosie O’Donnell – Becky

As Annie’s BFF Becky, Rosie O’Donnell was best known for playing the funny sidekick in movies. After hosting talk show “The Rosie O’Donnell Show” for 8 seasons, the comedian appeared in several TV guest roles before taking on Donald Trump on “Celebrity Apprentice”.
When she and the U.S. president aren’t exchanging barbs online, O’Donnell now has a regular gig in the comedy “SMILF”.

Rita Wilson – Suzy

Rita Wilson starred as Suzy, sister to Sam, opposite husband Tom Hanks. Wilson, who would go on to reunite with fellow “Sleepless” co-stars Rosie O’Donnell and Gaby Hoffmann for “Now And Then”, has continued to act in supporting roles in film and TV, including “The Good Wife”, “Jingle All The Way” and “Girls”.
Wilson has also been flexing her producing muscles off-camera, acting as exec producer on “Mamma Mia!”, “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” and the upcoming English-language remake of the Oscar-nominated Swedish dramedy “A Man Called Ove” starring Hanks in the lead.
