Every year North America’s biggest nerds flock to San Diego for the culmination of comic news. From films to retro reboots to new seasons, here’s what we think will make headlines at Comic-Con 2018.

With Marvel bowing out of this year’s event, DC is taking centre stage and gearing up to make a splash, with the first official trailer for “Aquaman”. Director James Wan tweeted about the big Hall H reveal with hopes the reception from fans is a little better than the first official poster.
You can bet with Aquaman hitting up Hall H, his “Justice League” team member, Wonder Woman, won’t be far behind. Gal Gadot will likely make a “surprise appearance” (is it a surprise when we all know she’s going to be there?) with hopefully, Chris Pine and some new footage from “Wonder Woman 1984”.
And because there’s usually a boatload of surprises on Comic-Con Saturday, you can look out for news from upcoming films like “Lego Movie 2”, the sequel to “Fantastic Beasts”, “Godzilla: King of Monsters” and “Mowgli”.
(And yes, this gallery was just an excuse to use a shirtless shot of Jason Momoa.)

Marvel films won’t be making an appearance at Comic-Con, but that doesn’t mean their new series won’t be.
Teasing “never-before-seen-footage” as well as a Q&A with the cast, including stars Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph, “Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger” is also boasting a fan activation! Fans can recreate the moment where the show’s characters discover their powers together… on a bungee! The Marvel meet-cute will of course be recorded in slow motion and available for participants to share on their social media.

There is no better time to embrace the first female Doctor than now. And hopefully that’s just what fans will do when the Thirteenth Doctor, Jodie Whittaker is formally introduced alongside her co-stars Tosin Cole and Mandip Gill during the Comic-Con panel.

Season 9 of “The Walking Dead” just started filming in May, so the show won’t likely have a TON of information to share during the panel, but it should still be one of the most fun simply because the cast is a wild bunch.
With the fan meet and greet usually shutting down the Con floor, you can expect some viral moments with the cast on Friday, especially since veterans Andrew Lincoln and Lauren Cohan are gearing up for their last season.
Similarly “Fear The Walking Dead” is taking a break following the midseason finale, but we’re sure there’s lots of secrets left to unpack during the panel on Friday.
You can expect the entire gang to be in attendance: Kim Dickens, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Colman Domingo, Lennie James, Danay Garcia, Jenna Elfman, Maggie Grace and Garret Dillahunt.

Terrifying and starring the current poster star for Stephen King’s “It” reboot, you can bet that “Castle Rock” will find its footing at Comic-Con quite quickly.
Based on an adaptation of some of Stephen King’s scariest stories, “Castle Rock” is produced by J.J. Abrams (who knows a thing or two) and fits the mold of other recently released nostalgic reboots to an ‘I-T’.
The panel will reportedly screen the pilot episode with some of the cast, including: Bill Skarsgard, Sissy Spacek and Melanie Lynskey making appearances as well.

2018 is officially becoming the year of the retro reboot with “Halloween” set to bring the scares to Comic-Con. Jamie Lee Curtis will helm the Halloween presence in Hall H, with presumably new footage and possibly Michael Meyers himself!
As well, M. Night Shyamalan’s “Glass” - the threequel to “Unbreakable” and “Split” - will delight fans with a (fingers-crossed) Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson and James McAvoy reunion.

Another classic film hoping to cash in with a reboot this year is “The Predator”.
Directed by Shane Black, starring Jacob Tremblay, Boyd Holbrook, Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown and Keegan-Michael Key, the reboot will give fans a new, modern take on the franchise and one decked-out Predator to take down.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the cast of “Breaking Bad” will reunite in Hall H (rumoured) for a Q&A panel.
Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Dean Norris, Anna Gunn, Bob Odenkirk, Giancarlo Esposito, Betsy Brandt, Jonathan Banks and RJ Mitte will all be in attendance with some of the cast joining the “Better Call Saul” panel ahead of time.

With only a short teaser released since the season 5A finale back in January, you can bet that the “Vikings” crew will be bringing something a little stronger than mead with them to Comic-Con.
Canadians Alexander Ludwig and Katheryn Winnick will lead the charge this year, with Alex Hogh Andersen and Georgia Hirst hot on their trail with a rumoured appearance with Rollo himself, Clive Standen!
