For her breakout movie performance, Margot Robbie played blonde bombshell Naomi Lapaglia alongside actor Leonardo DiCaprio in the 2013 comedy-drama film, "The Wolf Of Wall Street". While she did not look starkly different from her usual self, the Australian actress did surprise audiences with her Brooklyn accent.

Distancing herself from her previous blonde bombshell role, Margot Robbie went brunette and sported minimal makeup for her role as Ann Burden in the 2015 sci-fi thriller, "Z for Zachariah", where she played one of the last women left on earth following a disaster that wipes out most of civilization.

Switching her hair up once again, the actress sported red locks for her role as Jane Porter in "The Legend of Tarzan", which she paired with feminine 19th-century ensembles.

In one of her most-talked about movie transformations to date, Margot Robbie played a convincing Harley Quinn in the 2016 movie, "Suicide Squad". She sported white pigtails with pink and blue to accessorize the character-inspired ensemble. Opening up to The Hollywood Reporter about her body transformation for the role, Margot's trainer Andie Hecker said, "Because of her costume, the butt was really important to focus on because the shorts were so short. She had to look sexy and strong."

Margot Robbie shocked fans when she was spotted on set of the 2016 sport-drama, "I, Tonya", where she portrayed disgraced American figure skater Tonya Harding. Captured on set, Margot was seen wearing body prosthetics with frizzy blonde hair and freckles. Speaking about Margot's transformation in Vanity Fair, makeup department head Deborah LaMia Denaver said, "We wanted to make it feel like we were telling that true story. I really think we got the essence of Tonya [Harding]."

For her role as Daphne Milne, the wife of author A.A. Milne, in the 2017 British biographical drama film, "Goodbye Christopher Robin", Margot Robbie did not venture too far for her usual look, sporting a variety of 1920s-inspired ensembles with a curly blonde bob.

In one of her most intense movie role transformations to date, Margot was seen with a red wig, a receding hairline and a smallpox-scarred complexion for her role as Queen Elizabeth I in the 2018 historical drama, "Mary Queen of Scots". Opening up to Harper's Bazaar about the intense makeup process, which took three and a half hours every day to create, Robbie called it a "lonely," but "interesting social experiment."

In stark contrast to "Mary Queen of Scots", Margot looked back to her usual self on set of Quentin Tarantino's 1960s-based, star-studded drama, "Once Upon A Time", which is set for release in 2019. Appearing with sleek blonde waves and a retro-inspired ensemble, Margot plays American actress and model Sharon Tate who was briefly married to French-Polish film director Roman Polanski.
