First Acting Gig In 1988
While Luke Perry had two acting credits before landing a spot on the soap opera "Another World", it was his role of Kenny that put him on the acting map in 1988.
'Beverly Hills, 90210'
Perry's role as Dylan McKay launched him from actor to heartthrob.
Perry starred as the handsome, troubled loner for the beloved series' first six seasons; he reprised the role for seasons nine and 10.
When news broke of a reboot in 2019, Perry was not listed to return.
Off The Market
In 1993, Perry wed longtime love Rachel "Minnie" Sharp taking him officially off the market.
A few years later, Perry and Sharp welcomed son Jack in 1997 and daughter Sophie in 2000.
The couple divorced in 2003.
Time On The Big Screen
Perry made waves when he made the transition from the small screen to the big screen in blockbusters like “8 Seconds”, “The Fifth Element” and the original film “Buffy The Vampire Slayer”.
'Will & Grace'
Among the many guest stars on "Will & Grace", Perry's Aaron was a favourite.
Perry joined the gang in 2005 for one episode when Karen and Jack think he's a "peeping Tom" in the park creeping on Karen.
Turns out he's a "hot gay nerd" who peaks the interest of Jack.
Another cameo Perry made was on "The Bachelors" episode of "Hot In Cleveland".
Perry joined other guest stars Chris Harrison and Craig Ferguson, along with the regular cast of Betty White, Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, and Wendie Malick.
From Film To The Stage
After years in front of the camera, Perry switched things up by taking to the Broadway stage.
He played Brad Majors in a Broadway revival of The Rocky Horror Show and starred opposite Alyson Hannigan in a London production of "When Harry Met Sally".
Perry turned from teen heartthrob to a "Daddy" after landing the role of Fred Andrews in the hit CW drama "Riverdale".
In the beloved series, Perry plays the father of Archie Andrews, earning the hot dad title from "Riverdale" fans.
Perry popped the question to his longtime girlfriend Wendy Madison Bauer after dating since 2017.
In a statement about his death, his rep wrote, "“Actor Luke Perry, 52, passed away today after suffering a massive stroke. He was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiancée Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, stepfather Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends."
"Once Upon A Time In Hollywood'
Before his death, Perry was cast in the highly anticipated film "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood" from director Quentin Tarantino.
In his final role, Perry will play Scott Lancer next to stars Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio.
