A lot has changed since “Game of Thrones” debuted nearly eight years ago. In high anticipation for the hit show’s eighth and final season premiere on April 14, we’re taking a look back at how the cast have changed since their first “GoT” press tour.

Posing next to his wife and co-star Rose Leslie at the "Game of Thrones" season 8 premiere in New York City, the actor donned a more refined all-black look and ditched his famed long hair. After filming wrapped for the show's final season, Harington told Entertainment Weekly that he intended to cut his hair short to make himself appear "less recognizable as the character," but he quite liked the beard.

Before she became known as the Mother of Dragons, Emilia Clarke was the image of innocence in an angelic white dress at a 2011 screening of "Game of Thrones" at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. The rising star donned her natural brunette locks, later admitting to Vogue Australia in an interview that she goes hardly noticed by fans without her Khaleesi blonde hair.

While Clarke did not sport her icy blonde locks for the "Game of Thrones" final season premiere this year, the actress did pay homage to Daenerys Targaryen with a braided updo. And she looked every bit the fantasy star, turning heads in a striking, grey-blue Valentino gown.

In 2012, Sophie Turner attended the DVD launch of the first season of "Game of Thrones" in a simple, black minidress with sheer tights and red accessories. The natural blonde stayed true to her character, however, rocking young Sansa Stark's signature fiery red locks.

Years later, Turner looked transformed in a plunging Louis Vuitton dress at the "Game of Thrones" season 8 premiere with platinum blonde hair and intense smoky eye shadow. In 2016, the actress admitted that dying her hair red had become too much and so she turned to using a wig and kept her natural blonde.

At 14 years old, Maisie Williams stepped out at the "Game of Thrones" DVD launch party in 2012 wearing a girlish black and white romper with bow-detailed platform sandals. The actress matched Arya Stark with short hair after Stark chopped it off to disguise herself as a boy in the show.

At the 2019 "Game of Thrones" season 8 premiere, Williams took full liberty with her hair, dying it a bold lilac hue. At age 21, the actress went all out with her style, dressed in a ruffled Miu Miu gown.

Looking back at Comic-Con in 2011, Lena Headey was barely recognizable at the "Game of Thrones" panel discussion in a more relaxed ensemble with a straw hat, multi-coloured scarf and black flip-flops.

While Headey was unable to attend the "Game of Thrones" season 8 premiere, the actress did make quite an entrance at the season 6 premiere in a feminine feather-print dress that brought the glam but still put her tattoos on display.

Eight years later, Dinklage stepped out with his wife Erica Schmidt at the "Game of Thrones" final season premiere in a more sophisticated ensemble that still showed off his love of striped pants -- and he finished off the look with darker hair and a Tyrion Lannister-like beard.

Jason Momoa went very under the radar, posing next to his co-stars Emilia Clarke and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau at a Comic-Con panel discussion for "GoT" in 2011. As part of his signature look, the actor showed off his long, brunette curls in sunglasses and a beaded necklace.

Sporting some softer brunette curls with warm highlights and a full beard, Momoa went more modern in a black ensemble with a dusty rose jacket and patent leather shoes -- a look that was fashion-forward but still rang true to his rugged style.
